Youth Scholarship Program
The Canadian Urban Transit Association's (CUTA) Youth Scholarship Program was first introduced in 2004 with the intent of developing and fostering expertise to improve the visibility of Public Transit as a career option and develop a stronger pool of expertise for the industry's future.
The CUTA Youth Scholarship Program is open to all students currently pursuing a career in Public Transit or other related fields such as Urban Planning, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Land Use Planning, Transportation/Transportation Management and Geography.
Up to five $2,000 scholarships will be awarded to deserving students registered in full-time Canadian post secondary institutions - one for each region, provided the required standards are met in each region, (Atlantic, Quebec, Ontario, Prairies & Territories and British Columbia). To ensure consistency in the scholarship selection process, a Scholarship Assessment Committee will review applications from all 5 regions and the Committee will be chaired by the Vice-Chair of the Human Resources Committee. One student will be selected from each region and the winner of the competition will be announced at the CUTA Fall Conference and Trans-Expo.
The 2012 CUTA Youth Scholarship Program is now closed.
