The Importance of Training and Development
The training and continuing education of employees is paramount to enhance morale and productivity, limit job turnover, and help organizations increase performance and improve business results.
The human capital of an organization is one of its most important assets. At CUTA, we see this importance and strive to provide effective, informative and quality training programs to be implemented in Canadian transit systems. These programs will help our systems effectively use their employee's skills, increase employee knowledge and help align employee action with the goals and values of the organization.
Training with CUTA
CUTA's Education and Training department has developed and created its program training materials from extensive research and industry input. Materials have been developed to act as training tools as well as helpful resources to be brought back to, shared and used in the workplace.
CUTA's courses are taught by a group of knowledgeable Trainers who are specialist in their field. They have worked in and understand the transit industry and are therefore able to tailor their training approach to fit this niche.
CUTA offers continuous education in both the direct delivery and Train the Trainer approach. In a Train the Trainer format, transit system employees are trained by CUTA Master Trainers to become trainers themselves. They are provided with the topical knowledge and training skills needed to return to their place of work and implement their own training programs. This gives the transit system the freedom to train their other employees and transfer these new skills and insights when needed.
Participants in both types of programs feel an immense amount of accomplishment upon completion of our programs and they carry their new skills with confidence back into the workforce.
